SYLVESTER SIM
Sylvester rose to prominence after releasing his first Chinese album Take Flight (起飞) in 2005. Known for writing his own music since his debut, he quickly gained recognition for chart-topping hits in Hong Kong. Take Flight achieved Platinum status in Singapore, selling out on the day of release. He also earned the Media Best Newcomer Award and the 最佳新人奖 at the 93.3FM Awards.
Shortly after the Singapore Idol finals, Sylvester was invited as a special guest performer at Jolin Tsai’s concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Expanding his artistic range, he ventured into acting, appearing in the 2001 idol drama The Shooting Stars and Asia’s first mobile 3G drama P.S. Love You, alongside Taiwanese actors Tammy Chen and Roy Chiu.
He has also made guest appearances on numerous variety shows and participated in productions such as OMG (One Moment of Glory) for NKF charity, as well as films like Already Famous and Everybody’s Business. More recently, he competed in the popular singing show The Voice of China (中国好声音), reaching the Top 6.
A familiar name in the entertainment scene, Sylvester was invited to perform at venues such as Manado Club, Dragonfly at St James Power Station, Neverland, and Club Sonar.
After a decade in the industry, Sylvester continues to pursue artistic growth and made a comeback with his new single, A New Hope.
